Semimaru (蝉丸?) is the Azuma Ninja Dog, that clan members can summon by throwing a Dog Bone.
Biography[]
After the Azuma Village had been attacked by Burning Dawn, Semimaru helped Rikimaru and Ayame to pursue Tatsumaru. While in the other series, he can be summoned by throwing a Dog Bone item to help kill the enemy.
His current whereabouts are unknown.

As a ninja dog, Semimaru has greater ability than average dogs in the areas of pursuit and pathfinding.
Background Information and Notes[]
- In Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Semimaru is used to kill enemies with the Dog Bone.
- He also appears in the Greatest Hits intro of Tenchu: Stealth Assassins (As pictured to the right.)
- Rikimaru has a special bond with Semimaru as shown in Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins in the later missions.
- Even though Semimaru appears Dark Brown in Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, in Tenchu 2, he is Light Brown.
- Semimaru appears on the Multiplayer mode in Tenchu 3.
- In Tenchu Z , Semimaru is used to distract enemies with the Dog Bone.
